Monogatari is the brainchild of the composer and multiinstrumentalist Sebastian Ungh. He started to make music under this pseudonym 2007 and the following year he released the highly acclaimed record It May Have Seemed Like a Sign of Hope That the Birds Followed Them Out Into the Vastness of the Open Sea. 2013 saw the light of One Step Forward and Two Steps Back?, the first record in a triology. The second one in this troika, It's Almost Like a Dance... will come out November 30th 2013.

...must be the tzouras, bought this summer on Crete. It have yet to find it's way into one of the songs, but it's damn fun to fiddle around with.

A new blog and a new album
Welcome all to this new blog on which I will share all different kinds of news about Monogatari. Hopefully you'll find all kinds of interesting things here. The first thing for me to tell you is that the release date for the next album, It's Almost Like a Dance..., is coming closer. No definite date is set yet, but it's on it's way, trust me on that.
